About

Betty is a Costume and Set Designer from Melbourne, and works across Theatre, Film and Dance.

She has a passion for telling story through making and designing. Vital to all of Betty's projects is a strong undercurrent of dramaturgically charged design.

Betty has been freelancing since 2014, and completed her Masters of Design for Performance at The Victorian College of the Arts at the end of 2018.

Previous design work includes When The Rain Stops Falling, Definitely not the worst thing in the world, High School Musical, REBEL: A New Musical, UgLeigh, and OpticNerve's Polygraph, and Adena Jacobs’ adaptation of The Crucible.

Betty has been fortunate enough to assist designers on Melbourne Theatre Company’s The House of Bernarda Alba (2018), Little Ones Theatre Company’s Dangerous Liaisons (2016) & Dracula (2015), and Malthouse Theatre/Sydney Theatre Company's Love and Information (2015).
